Privacy
The short version: Linktary is built on minimum knowledge. We collect the smallest amount of data the service can function with, we never collect per-visitor data at all, and this page says exactly what each of those sentences means.
What we store
- Your email address — to sign you in (passwordless magic links) and to reach you about your account. That's all it's used for.
- Your links — the short code, the creation time, the verification verdict and chain, and an aggregate click counter. The destination itself is stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM, per-link nonce); only you can see your own links' destinations.
- Session records — hashes of session tokens (never the tokens themselves), expiring after 30 days.
- Abuse reports — the reported link code and your written reason, until reviewed and resolved.
What we never store
- Who clicked your links. No visitor IPs, no user agents, no referrers, no per-visitor anything. Click counts are aggregate numbers. We cannot tell you who clicked your link, because we never recorded it — and we can't be compelled to produce what doesn't exist.
- Plaintext destinations in logs. Destinations are decrypted only inside the Worker at the moment of use and never written to logs.
- Passwords. There are none; sign-in is by email magic link.
- Analytics profiles. No analytics vendor, no tracking scripts, no third-party beacons on any page.
How long we keep it
Sessions: 30 days. Magic-link tokens: 15 minutes, single-use. Rate-limit counters: minutes. Your links and account: until you delete them (deleting a link takes it offline immediately). See the full table on the security page.
Who else sees your data
Cloudflare hosts the infrastructure (Workers + D1) — that's the only subprocessor. We don't sell data, share it with advertisers, or feed it to analytics. There is nothing to sell: the most identifying thing we hold about visitors is a number that went up.
